When I wouldn't take part in an internet scam against authors, the scammer threatened to fill Goodreads with terrible reviews of my book "Out of Bounds." On Monday, Jan. 26, the person flooded Goodreads with at least 10 one-star reviews that used profanity and called me the devil.

I haven't seen Goodreads take them down yet, but this is clearly following through on the email threat he sent me.

Ive been trying to reach Goodreads about this issue, but their email box and voicemail is full.

I reported a scam recently to a credit card. The scammer said they would tank my goodreads review unless I let it go.

They are doing that now.

I have the emails addresses of everyone with access to the book since only ARCs are available.

I know the 3 one-star ratings so far from new accounts are not coming from them, and since it is a debut those reviews are 3 fake vs 15 legitimate ones. I am trying to get the reviews taken down and get evidence to pass to the FTC.

My phone call was disconnected before it even started. I need to speak to customer service at Goodreads, or I will dispose of the app.

Nicholas McQueen, author of the Cockney Whipping Boy, is not the same as Nicholas McQueen, author of the children's book Potato Land and the Cheese Virus. Even though they seem to have the same name, on Goodreads they have been put together as one author.

Please change this.

Hi, it must be over two weeks since I submitted a registration for the Goodreads Author Program, and I've yet to hear anything about whether it was accepted or not, with the understanding that I'll be notified either way. Does it sometimes take this long or longer? Or was my submission possibly missed, and I may need to re-submit?

Please notify me as soon as you can because I'd really like to get on with the Author program to help promote my book.

If someone opens up a fraudulent account with your phone number under a different email then your,v you are screwed. They claim they can't delete the fraudulent account. I warn people to not use this app.

As I explained in my prior email, this account was opened under my phone number. My account with Amazon is not under that number.

I have no idea who Ken Durant is. I only found this out because my DIL invited me yesterday to make an account and share books.

I am requesting this account be deleted. Thank you.

First they say you can win a tablet it will be £2 to enter, then they steal £50 from your account and no one to get in touch with. l feel this is a police matter l didn't sign up to a book club so goodreads go *** yourselves.

He was hired to do Advertisement. He had the book for the last 23 years four years.

I would like to know what I need to do to get access to the book I wrote. I have my book now back on Amazon in my possession, with copyrights and ISBN # identification I'm looking to receive my book back in my possession.

The code I need is being sent to the email on my Goodreads account. I don't have access to it, and that is why I'd like to change it. Could the code be sent to cscollins@***.org

I attempted to create a account on 4-25-2025. When I filled in all the information to create a account and attempted to sign in you rejected my request because you detected unusual activity on my email.

What activity? I am a 72 year old male widower that spends my days search the web for things that interest me or how to fix a problem on my phone.

I also look at YouTube and listen to music. You've made a mistake.

I am not some secret spy trying to overthrow the US Government.

Please separate these 2 authors they are not the same person. Nicholas McQueen author of The Cockney whipping boy , is not the Nicholas McQueen who wrote Potato Land and the Cheese virus!

these are two different authors and should not be shown as the same author. I hope this can be changed to separated authors

Goodreads has no real customer service phone number. The couple you find are fake or do not answer. Emails are loops with no clear solutions.

I have been experiencing an issue whereby I try to sign into the app and instead it tells me that the Goodreads server is over capacity. I am also unable to sign in on a web browser.

However each time I reach out, the experts send ChatGPT responses. I would really just like to update book lists and find out about new books.

I request live customer service assistance. I cant even log in without receiving additional error messages saying that the app is experiencing difficulties and to try again later.

Ive been trying for the past four days without success. Ive never had such problems with this app in the many years Ive had it.
