Repeated error messages trying to start my next challenge.
I have not been able to contact a live person and the message I left has yet to answered. I’m very disappointed that the app remains dysfunctional.
I request live customer service assistance. I cant even log in without receiving additional error messages saying that the app is experiencing difficulties and to try again later.
Ive been trying for the past four days without success. Ive never had such problems with this app in the many years Ive had it.

Preferred solution: Assistance to make sure I can operate the app the way I have for years.

Ive had a Goodreads account since it began and I never experienced this problem until I got a new phone and they required a sign in. Now Ive been locked out and have no way to access my book list!

Revenge review
I am writing because I am a self-published author with a couple of books on Goodreads. Recently, it has come to my attention that a revenge review was made on my book 'Self-Love, Healing and Neurodivergence' by someone I know in real life.
This person used a fake name, but they left the same exact review on Amazon under their real name, so I now have proof. This person has been harassing me online for absolutely no reason as I have never done anything to hurt them. Yet, they find it necessary to get back at me for having them removed from a server for bullying me. However, the problem is the Goodreads team refuses to acknowledge and remove this review.
I have proved exactly which rules this review is in violation of and still no help. This review not only ruined my overall rating but it's extremely hurtful for me and is an attack on my character.
This is defamation of character. I strongly urge the Goodreads team to reconsider this hurtful revenge review and remove it immediately, as Amazon support already has.

App not working
When I called the phone number, I was met with a message saying "Voicemail full. Try back later." It is very frustrating because I don't know why my lists have disappeared.

My issue never got resolved
i have been trying to update my account email address to my cirrent emai laddress (that i have been using for 10 years)
i get the message that this email is taken. i logged on with this new email, which took me to a new account and then closed it.
i tried changing email again and i got the same message - this email is already in use.
so i tried to log into this "new" account again and i am told that this account is closed. so what am i supposed to do?

Absolute Trash System
As an author, Goodreads is the worst. They won't allow you to actually edit any of your information, and they won't even allow two authors to have the same name!
My books have incorrect covers and information on them, and one of my books is actually credited to a completely different author! You try to contact them, and it's just a form to be submitted.
They don't allow you to talk to anyone to work out the issues. I recommend everyone stay far away from this dumpster fire.

Customer service nonexistent!
Tried chat, paid $1, thinking I was going to get help, was asked for cc info AGAIN. Was told a technician would help with issue but I have been dropped after being told I had to pay for help.

No it is no it is libel and in general not actionable. Unless they said something about you as an person such as you broke a law. It has to be specific like aurthor is a convicted *** and you do not have any charges related to *** They could say you are a *** and that is opinion and protected.
It was bad enough that Amazon immediately agreed to take it down. I highlighted 3 specific rules in which this review broke.
It was personal talking about more than just my book. It was done by someone I know who is intentionally trying to hurt me. It was talking about my personal character.
I’m not sure how that isn’t against the rules. It was a fake review?
